Mrs. Esther Walkey

Hello Penhold.

 
My name is Esther Walkey and I am so excited to be joining the team at Penhold Elementary school as the Family Student Wellness Worker. I am new to Central Alberta and look forward to getting to know this community. I am originally from British Columbia where I completed a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of the Fraser Valley. My husband and I moved to Edmonton in 2023 where I became a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Work. My husband coaches volleyball professionally and a new opportunity for him has brought us to Central Alberta.

Outside of work, you can almost always find me listening to music. I have many house plants and love caring for them and propagating new plants. I dearly love my family and enjoy many visits back to British Columbia to spend time with my 6 nephews and nieces. My husband and I recently bought our first house and I am looking forward to spending lots of time on home projects. Hoping to learn some new skills in outdoor gardening!
