Hello Penhold Elementary Community!
I am Mrs. Neilson and I enjoy being a part of the PES community. I have been a part of the Chinook's Edge School Division since 2008 teaching at the middle school level in various roles, and prior to that I taught in other divisions in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. I attended the University of Regina receiving my Bachelor of Education in 2004, the University of Saskatchewan receiving a Post Degree Certificate in Special Education in 2007, and will receive my Masters of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies (Inclusive Education focus) from the University of Calgary at the end of June 2024.
I live west of Penhold on an acreage with my husband, our daughter, and our herd of animals (horses, dogs and cats). I love teaching, spending time with my family and animals, sewing, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.
I am excited to be working with all of the students and staff at PES as the Student Support Lead.
